Hello, I have an Infrasonic Quartet PCI soundcard for sale. It can do 24-bit, 192kHz audio, and it is capable of directly driving headphones without needing an amplifier, which was the reason I bought it in the first place.
I've had problems getting the MIDI function to work, so I need to go back to my old card. I don't know if it is a problem with my other hardware, or the drivers, or ???
In any case, the audio play/record functions are fine. It has digital in/out functionality (Toslink out, and BNC connectors on a breakout cable), although I've never used it and can't vouch for its performance.
I can ship in the original box with the breakout cable, driver CD, and paper user manual. Newer drivers can be downloaded at:
http://simsaudio.co.kr/sims_infrasonic/bbs/board.php?board=products&command=other_insert&exe=p_PCI_quartet
The newest drivers are for Windows 7, not sure what the latest Mac drivers are.
This is not a well-known card. I found an old Head-Fi discussion which talks a bit about it:
http://www.head-fi.org/t/413010/infrasonic-quartet
Note that this is a standard PCI card, not PCI-Express or other newer bus.
Asking $40 including USA shipping. If you are local in San Francisco, you can have it for $30 cash.
Please email with inquiries; I don't check this board much these days.
Thanks for reading!
